This custom skean dubh, (or sgian dubh, if you prefer, which means black knife in Gaelic) was a collaboration with a customer.  It features a 4" blade of Devin Thomas "spirograph" damascus which has been gun blued, nickel-silver guard and stabilized ebony handle.  Yea, he was pretty happy with this one!

She will always feel confident with this sweet little dagger in her boot.

This straight blade knife shows the damascus work of Charles Sauer on the 5 1/2" file-worked blade which has been differentially heat treated, with a nickel silver guard and stabilized double dyed box elder burl wood handle.

Yes, they are kitchen knives, but you can't deny they are art knives, too.  This Japanese style set features san mai damascus steel by Jim Fergusson, water buffalo horn ferrules and curly maple handles.  They won Best Kitchen Cutlery Set at the 2007 Professional Knifemakers Association show.

All knives pictured are examples.  I feel that a knifemaker should serve their customers.  So, I will happily work with you to design your knife the way that you want and with the materials that you desire.
